Patrick Lamb

I am one of the few attorneys in Philadelphia who have tried multiple cases to verdict for plaintiffs and defendants. I have obtained verdicts in excess of a million dollars for my clients and, working for defendants, protected them from significant verdicts. I have tried cases in all five counties and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. I have argued cases in front of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Third Circuit

I grew up in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, attending Saint Joseph’s Prep, Dickinson College and Temple Law School.

After passing the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar examinations in 1993, I started as an insurance defense attorney with a mid-sized Philadelphia firm. After twenty-two years, I joined Post & Schell, a larger firm based in Philadelphia. I became an equity partner at Post & Schell in 2017.

During my time working as a defense attorney, I represented a variety of clients in cases involving defective products, construction site accidents, major trucking accidents, steel mill explosions and mass tort litigation (pharmaceutical).

For 15 years, I represented construction contractors with high deductible insurance policies. During this time, I spent significant time drafting indemnity clauses and litigating insurance agreements. I also became very proficient in the inner workings of the construction industry, including electrical work, steel erection, roofing, performance stage erection, framing and demolition.

I also represented a major insurer in its disputes with high deductible policy holders who had failed to meet their contractual obligations.

In 2021, I moved from the defense side to join McCann, Dillon, Jaffe & Lamb. As a plaintiff’s attorney, I brought cases on behalf of his clients against consumer product manufacturers, construction contractors, several Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, physicians, Atlantic City casinos and major retailers.

I have been elected as a Super Lawyer by my peers for the past 18 years. Also, I have been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America.

For over fifteen years, I have served as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. During this service, I have settled over 200 cases involving personal injuries.

I have been an active educator in the legal field. I have presented dozens of CLE classes on issues such as closed head trauma, liability defenses, trial tactics, arbitration strategies and medical damages. I also lecture in a yearly class at Temple Law School.

I am a member of the board at GET Cafe in Narberth (www.getincluded.org). Get is a non-profit coffee shop dedicated to facilitating the social inclusion of neurodivergent individuals and individuals with a disability in the community work based setting.
